Ordinance to Review Possibility of Importing Electricity from Neighboring Countries

Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif led a high-level committee to resolve the energy crisis and the measures being reviewed. Friday, official statement released after the meeting said the committee to increase the power output and the search for alternative sources of energy principle to decide what concrete steps could be taken.

The Committee need to stop power theft and prices at a reasonable level, however, the Prime Minister also stressed the need for efforts to be directed that it should not have its impact on poor people.
In this context, the Prime Minister directed that the provinces will be included in the consultative process. Energy crisis could be reduced as soon as possible and reasonable steps must be taken in order to reduce it quickly.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told a news conference on Thursday that circular debt will be paid in sixty days to the companies of oil providers.
After the performance of 'circular debt results will come very soon and we are seriously working on it.''
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said the budget for the solution of energy crisis in particular has allocated funds.

'' There are all measures in our budget, we will be able to stand on their own feet.
